We were on the connecting flight to Kilimanjaro when through the little window a huge shadow loomed in the distance until finally the beast showed herself, we were cruising at 17,000 ft and Kilimanjaro still looked a lot taller... lots of swearing and nervous laughter followed... what the hell were we thinking? Who thought this was a good idea in the first place!??

We propose to take on the 'Three Peaks Challenge' in the next year which we will fund ourselves in order that all the money raised can be split between our 3 chosen charities; The National Star College, The World Land Trust and Winston's Wish.
We have named the challenge the 'Three Peaks with a Twist'.
Our first challenge will be Scafell Pike the highest peak in England at 913m (2,995ft) which we intend to scale in fancy dress (the more observant amongst you may notice a trend developing in this area) and set up a temporary base camp at the summit for a few hours only!! Everyone is welcome to participate in this one -we will need a volunteer film crew and porters!!
Peak number two is Mount Kilimanjaro the highest free standing mountain in the World at 5,895m (19,341ft). We plan to scale this majestic beast of a mountain in February during the full moon to save on torch batteries for the final ascent!!
